This adapter enables CCS1 electric vehicles to charge at CHAdeMO DC fast‑charging stations, bridging the gap between CHAdeMO charging infrastructure (widely used in Japan, Korea, and other Asian markets) and CCS1 standard EVs (common in North America and Korea). Electway, as a CHAdeMO Association member, has independently developed this converter to solve the compatibility issue between CHAdeMO chargers and CCS1 vehicles. It supports a wide range of CCS1 models including Tesla (North American spec), Chevrolet Bolt, Ford Mustang Mach‑E, Volkswagen ID.4, BMW i4/iX, Hyundai Ioniq 5/6, Kia EV6/EV9, and others.
With a rated power of 100kW and a maximum current of 250A DC, this adapter delivers efficient fast charging. It features an IP55 protection rating (in coupled state) and an operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C, ensuring reliable performance in most weather conditions. The adapter complies with CHAdeMO 2.0 on the charger side and CCS1 communication protocols (DIN70121/ISO15118) on the vehicle side, enabling seamless protocol conversion.
