FAQ
DC EV Chargers by Power Output
20–40kW DC EV chargers are suitable for commercial parking, hotels, shopping malls, workplaces and locations where moderate charging speed and compact installation are important.
Multi-Standard DC Charging
Electway offers DC charging stations with different connector configurations for major EV charging standards, including CCS1, CCS2, GB/T, CHAdeMO and NACS. Depending on the charger model, multiple standards can be integrated into one charging station or supported through compatible DC adapters.
DC EV Chargers for Different Applications
High-power DC charging solutions can be configured for commercial fleet applications, including electric buses, delivery vehicles and other high-utilization EV fleets, depending on vehicle requirements and charger configuration.
How to Choose a DC EV Charger?
| Requirement | Recommended Solution |
|---|
| Small commercial site | 20–40kW |
| Hotel / workplace | 20–60kW |
| Retail / parking | 30–80kW |
| Public charging | 60–240kW |
| Fleet charging | 120–240kW |
| Highway fast charging | 180–360kW |
| 800V EVs | 200–1000V capable charger |
| Multiple vehicles | Dual-gun / dynamic load balancing |
| Mixed EV standards | Multi-standard CCS/GB/T/CHAdeMO/NACS |
DC Fast Charger vs AC EV Charger
The main difference is where AC-to-DC conversion takes place. An AC EV charger supplies AC power to the vehicle, while a DC fast charger converts power to DC within the charging equipment and supplies DC power directly to the EV battery system. This allows DC chargers to provide higher charging power and shorter charging times when the vehicle and electrical infrastructure support it.
